I was born after the 1979 Iranian Revolution and an early childhood during the Iran–Iraq War. I grew up witnessing my family’s fond memories of Iran before the Revolution and how women felt the freedom in choosing their clothes, an inalienable right that cannot be surrendered. I have a lot of respect for the women who wear hijab, willingly as a principle of modesty which had been the norm in Islamic history.

I wanted to tell my own, and millions of other women’s stories who have been experiencing an unfair hijab law in Iran and as a forum for speaking up about how it is offensive to women and men and how it affects society, human relationship and general negative attitude. I designed four posters and created characters who have a story to tell according to this concept.
